How it works
Around 3 minutes. One Fanome. Completely free.
Start with your club, then answer a short set of questions about how you experience football.
Behind the scenes, Fanome uses a proprietary scoring model to build a detailed picture of you as a supporter. It looks across your behaviours, attitudes and instincts, from commitment and matchgoing to optimism, tradition, analysis, superstition and the way football fits into your life.
Your Fanome DNA™
No two football fans are quite the same. Some live on hope, others expect the worst. Some love the numbers, while others trust their gut. And some have matchday rituals they wouldn't dream of breaking.
Your answers to the Fanome quiz help us understand what makes you tick as a supporter, how you think, how you feel and how you experience football.
We compare your answers across our nine fan archetypes, giving you a DNA Score for each one. The higher the score, the more closely that archetype reflects you. Together, these scores reveal your unique football identity, showing which types of fan you most closely resemble.
You might discover you are Eternal Optimist × Realist or Groundhopper × Nostalgist.
And if you have always thought your mate is the eternal optimist, the pessimist, the obsessive stat-head or the one who would travel anywhere for a game, now you can finally prove it.
Because even fans who support the same club can experience football in completely different ways.
Your Football Life
Fanome then connects your profile to the history you have actually lived through with your club.
Tell us when you were born and when you started supporting, and we build your football timeline across:
- Since you became a fan
- Your lifetime
- All time
Promotions. Relegations. Titles. Trophies. League levels. Managers. Grounds. Highs. Lows. The seasons you still talk about and the ones you would rather forget.
Your Fanome Success Index™
Our historical scoring model measures how successful the seasons you have lived through have actually been.
Success is relative to the level your club was competing at, so Fanome is not simply rewarding supporters of the biggest clubs.
Winning League Two, earning promotion from non-league or producing an exceptional season at your level can all represent real success.
That means a supporter of a smaller club can have lived through a more successful football life than someone following a traditionally bigger one.
Your Fanome Era Index™
Have you supported your club through its glory years, its darker days, or a bit of both?
The Fanome Era Index™ compares how successful your club has been during your years as a supporter with its overall historical record, and shows the difference as a percentage.
- Positive (+): You've experienced a more successful period than your club's historical average.
- Negative (−): You've experienced a less successful period than its historical average.
- Around zero: Your era has been broadly in line with the club's history.
It's a way of discovering whether you've been one of your club's lucky generations, or whether the best years happened before your time.
Save it. Share it.
Your Fanome appears as soon as you finish.
Save it, share it with your mates and see how different two supporters of the same club can be.
And as the Fanome community grows, the picture gets bigger too, revealing how fanbases differ, how generations of supporters compare and, in time, how fan identity changes across clubs, countries and sports.
